FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Taproot Security Comments on Government Cyber R&D Strategy

Responds to White House RFI

Saint Paul, MN, December 17, 2018 –

Taproot Security responded to the president's National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) Request for Information (RFI) prior to updating the US federal Cybersecurity R&D Strategic Plan in 2019. Taproot asked NSTC to consider disruptive cyber technologies such as AI and IoT that were less mainstream when the strategy was initially written for President Obama.

"The R&D strategy was first written for a different president in a different time," said Taproot Security founder Mike McCormick. "Today we face a new threat landscape, and under a new president we have an opportunity to recalibrate the cyber R&D strategy accordingly."

Taproot Security's letter to NSTC can be found here.
